“Our mother, Lisa Marie May, entered into this world on January 31st, 1959 in Hugoton Kansas, and departed from it on April 8th, 2023 in Newton Kansas, while surrounded by loved ones. She was 64 years old and preceded in death by her mother Joye, and her muppet dog ”Z“. She is survived by five children: Cristopher, Thaddeus, Joshua, Jessica and Jon, her father Gentry, her brother Gentry Jr., two nieces and seven grandchildren.

Lisa was a gentle soul, and a lover of many things: animals, spirituality, music, reading, folklore and really bad horror movies. She prided herself in working at NMC Health in Newton Kansas but above all, her main passion was volunteering her time, energy and spirit at Osage County Help House in service of the community around her. In doing so she actively and positively impacted the lives of not only her fellow volunteers but her friends and neighbors.

Services will be held at 12 PM, Thursday April 27th at Heritage Country Church at 15776 S. Topeka Ave in Scranton Kansas. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Osage County Help House at 131 15th St, Lyndon, Kansas 66045.”
