Through the lens: ‘Love on a Leash’

 

 

For the second time this year, the Newton Public Library welcomed a few special four-legged guests. On March . 2 — group of dogs was welcomed into the library for a read along.

Brought to the library by Love on a Leash South-Central Kansas, the therapy dogs were there to be read to by young readers.

Love on a Leash South-Central Kansas is a volunteer organization that partnered with the Newton Public Library for the event.

The South Central Kansas chapter of Love on a Leash was officially founded in August of 2017. The organization regularly scheduled visits at assisted living facilities and local nursing homes, along with visits to hospitals, libraries and schools.
