An effort to boost the wages of childcare workers in Harvey and Marion Counties picked up a boost last week — United Way of Harvey & Marion Counties (UWHMC), in partnership with the Harvey County Childcare Task Force, announced receiving a grant of $25,000 towards the effort.
Molly Redinger, a dispatcher for Harvey County 911, is part of a group that plans for Independence Day year-round.

Good friends can have a good time no matter what they are doing together. That is how I ended up helping with a Yoga on the Farm event at Hildebrand Dairy near Junction City recently. The event was organized by CommonGround Kansas, an organization of farm women in Kansas who share information and personal stories about farming and the food they grow.
