At the fishin’ hole
The first weekend of June was the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks free fishing weekend, and just as they have done for several years a local ministry made use of the day.Eternal Life Street Ministry hosted the fifth annual “Fishing for Souls” at Athletic Park June 1.The minstry hosted a fishing contest for children, providing free bait for contest participants.The ministry also provided a barbecue meal for participating families.Prizes included donated fishing gear.All photos by Michele Clark, Newton Kansan.
