Board looks into Walton building disposal

The future of the former Walton elementary school facility is about as clear as mud after a discussion of the now closed facility by members of the Newton USD 373 Board of Education.The creator of the mud is SB 113, a bill passed by the legislature and made law during the last legislative session that requires school district to notice the legislature when a building is to be sold.In addition, the district has seen some opportunities come up for usage of the building that first opened in 1964, some of which were discussed by the board of education on Oct.
