HALSTEAD: Patricia Sue Jewett (Patty), age 64, retired registered nurse, died on February 16, 2023 at her home in Halstead following a lengthy illness. Patty was born in Kansas City, Missouri to James and Mildred Anderson.

ANDOVER — The Newton High School boys’ wrestling team sent 14 wrestlers to the Class 5A West Regional Friday and Saturday in Andover. When it was over, 12 of those wrestlers finished in the top eight and qualified for the state tournament — three as regional champions.
