Peete, rebounding, highlight Bethel women’s clash against ESU

EMPORIA — A few of the bright spots of the Bethel College women’s basketball team’s 98-58 loss to Emporia State Thursday at White Auditorium in Emporia was, under NAIA rules, it only counts as an exhibition for the Threshers, a 52-44 rebounding edge and fifth-year senior center Jasmine Peete’s 20 points and 16 rebounds. Against a team a little bit bigger, a lot stronger, a lot faster and a lot deeper, Peete was able to stand out for the Threshers.
