PITTSBURG — Dodge City’s Emanuel Aguilar drilled a 29-yard field goal with 23 seconds left to tie the game for the West team and he thought maybe send it to overtime. That wasn’t the case as the 49th annual Kansas Shrine Bowl ended in a 10-10 tie, the first one since 2001.
DERBY — Bailyn Sorensen kept the post-season hopes alive for the Newton Sluggin’ Rebels with a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning in a 4-3 win over the Derby Twins in the consolation semifinals of the Sunflower Collegiate League tournament at Panther Field in Derby.
