One-hundred-seventy-two Bethel College students had spring 2022 grades that earned academic distinction. Students whose semester grade point average is 3.7 or higher are named to the Dean’s List, while those with a GPA of 3.50-3.699 are listed as members of the Honor Roll.
Hesston College graduate Ryan Sprunger ’11 was awarded the Medal of Valor on Monday, May 16, 2022 by President Joe Biden. Sprunger, along with fourteen other recipients from the 2019-2020 class, received this honor for “extraordinary valor above and beyond the call of duty.”
It was 2015 when Harvey County Communications upgraded the radio system for first responders and dispatch - moving to an 800 MHz system that unified departments and created for easier communication. That project, however, left a small hole in the system - East Lake.
A pair of local political races will be decided during the August 2 primary - most notably the Harvey County Clerk and Harvey County Commission races. In both of those races, there are three Republicans registered for the race, and no Democrats.
