ANDOVER – Tornado recovery is well underway in Andover and Butler and Sedgwick Counties - and United Way of the Plains has raised more than three quarters of a million for the efforts. Many individuals and organizations are continuing to clean up, work through insurance claims, and begin case management.

The City’s annual contract street maintenance is scheduled to begin June 14, weather permitting. The contractor, APAC, will begin by milling off pavement on the following streets in this order: Alice Avenue from First to Fifth Estelle Avenue from First to Fifth West Fourth Street from Meridian to Columbus West Sixth Street from Meridian to Columbus West Sixth Street from Grandview to Park Place Columbus Ave from Seventh to Columbus Ave from Seventh to Ninth West Eighth Street from Columbus to McLain McLain Avenue from Broadway to Ninth Then beginning June 20, weather permitting, the contractor will overlay those streets in the same order with asphalt.
