Yeah, 13 gun massacres this past weekend, at strip malls, nightclubs, graduation parties — with 16 people dying, many more injured — and the total number of such shootings so far in 2022 is 246.
Knights rally in pair of wins over Salina
SALINA — The Newton Post 2 Knights American Legion baseball team showed a little resilience Tuesday night on the road at Dean Evans Stadium in Salina, sweeping the Salina Hawks. Newton won the first game 9-6 and the second game 10-5.

Guerra slam caps Sluggin’ Rebels win

Orletta Fern Brandt (Heide) Wiebe went to be with Jesus on June 8, 2022, at the age of 91. Orletta enjoyed music (never missing a chance to sing 4-part harmony with friends and family), sports (attending and streaming countless football, basketball and volleyball games), reading (bringing books to share with her grandchildren and also reading to challenge herself) traveling to see family (navigating many road trips with her sister, Joyce), gathering with friends, and sharing her faith in God.
