HESSTON – With league and regional tournaments on the horizon, the Hesston Swather boys’ golf team tried to position itself to be in contention, taking fourth at the 16-team Hesston Invitational Thursday at the Hesston Golf Course.

And some began to spit on him and to cover his face and to strike him, saying to him ‘Prophesy!’ And the guards received him with blows.” (Mk. 14:63-65) Jesus gave them the truth and what did they do? They killed Him. The Son of God.

The Newton High School boys’ tennis team placed third Tuesday, while the Hesston Swathers took fourth at the 12-team Hesston Invitational II. McPherson topped the field with 120 points.
McPHERSON – The Newton High School track team took a handful of throwers to the McPherson Invitational Thursday at McPherson Stadium. In the team standings, the Railer girls and boys each placed eighth out of nine teams.
