The unemployment rate for the state of Kansas dropped in the latest report issued by the Kansas Department of Labor - both from month-to-month and year-over-year. VALLEY CENTER – Newton junior pitcher Tegan Livesay was in total control Thursday as the Railer softball team stopped Augusta 12-2 in five innings to open play in the Valley Center Invitational. Livesay went the distance, allowing one hit, no earned runs, two walks and 13 strikeouts.
