During every major Armed World Conflict during the 20th Century, Democrat Presidents had majority control in the Senate and House of Representatives in the USA. During the Woodrow Wilson(D) Presidency, as WW1 raged, Democrats had a majority in the House and Senate.

Ronald Eugene Miller age 69 of Park City, Kansas passed away on February 10, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Ks. Ron was born on December 17, 1952 in Newton, Kansas, the son of Norman and Loretta (VanKley) Miller. He married Jin Hu December 5, 2003 in Derby, Ks.
NEWTON- Martha Smith, 80, died Thursday (February 10, 2022) at her home in Newton, Ks. She was born on March 17, 1941 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of William and Lizzie Miller Hochstedler.

Lee Pownell, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and toe tappin’ to Johnny Cash on February 24, 2022, in Newton, KS. Lee was born the first (and rowdiest) of three boys to Milton and Mary Pownell on August 10, 1948, at Halstead Hospital in Halstead, KS.
Hillsboro - Gordon L. Koehn, 86, passed away February 23, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge.
Marion - Norine Holtsclaw, 85, passed away January 28, 2022 at Hillsboro Community Hospital in Hillsboro. .

WICHITA — The Kansas Board of Education rejected a letter of resignation from Commissioner Randy Watson on Friday, instead opting to suspend him without pay for 30 days. The action came after Watson made a comment about Native Americans during a conference last week that some people criticized as racially insensitive.
