Several initiatives were introduced Thursday as part of an ongoing conversation to address mental health, substance abuse and homelessness in the community. The initiatives were introduced by the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Coalition at an en banc meeting with the Sedgwick County Commission and Wichita City Council.

Bethel retention numbers highest in a decade

Official enrollment numbers for the spring term at Bethel College are out – and school officials are happy with what they see. “We are thrilled with these numbers and what they say about the Bethel campus community and its focus on students, their success and their fit at the college and in the wider community,” said Heidi Hoskinson, vice president for enrollment management The report showed an official count of 449, the second highest spring number in a decade.
