USD 373 changes COVID protocols, contract tracing
Rapid spread of COVID-19 in Harvey County in recent weeks has caused Newton USD 373 to make changes to COVID protocols in schools — namely a temporary cease to contract tracing. "To help alleviate some of the pressure on our schools, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), along with the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE), support schools implementing a 30-day temporary suspension on all contact tracing activities," wrote Fred Van Ranken in a letter to parents this week.
