The end of White Claw summer may be upon us — for various reasons, actually.
It's September, so summer is unofficially over. And White Claw executives told CNN Business that there's currently a White Claw shortage across the United States, prompted by the drink's popularity this summer.
Sales of the popular hard seltzer have "accelerated faster than anyone could have predicted," said Sanjiv Gajiwala, senior vice president of marketing for the seltzer brand.
Gajiwala said the company is "working around the clock to increase supply" to satisfy demand for the fruity, sparkly alcoholic beverage.
Sure, there are other seltzer brands — Truly being one of them — but according to CNN, White Claw sales have grown 283 percent since last year and accounted for 55 percent of all hard seltzer sales over the Fourth of July.
