KCAC football: Week 5

Sterling (0-2) at Friends (1-3)

1:30 p.m.

Sterling last played Sept. 26, falling to Bethel 51-21. Friends was edged by McPherson 20-17 last week.

Sterling is led by Alexander Harbour with 132 rushing yards and a touchdown. Ethan Richardson has 228 passing yards and three touchdowns. T.C. Smith has 116 receiving yards.

For Friends, Dan Dawdy has 866 yards passing and six touchdowns. Juan Salazar has 375 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Cade Nagy has 236 receiving yards and a touchdown.

McPherson (3-1) at Southwestern (1-0)

6 p.m.

McPherson edged Friends 20-17 last week. Southwestern has been off since a 41-21 win over Tabor in week 1.

Joshua Pisik has 594 passing yards for McPherson with eight touchdowns. LaMeshio Hill has 193 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Ben Nikkel has 255 receiving yards and a touchdown.

For Southwestern, Brad Cagle has 249 passing yards and four touchdowns. Keyshawn Wyatt has 125 rushing yards and a touchdown. Keyshawn Jones has 177 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Non conference

William Penn (2-1) at Kansas Wesleyan (2-0)

11 a.m.

Kansas Welseyan last played Sept. 19, beating Bethany 59-34. Kansas Wesleyan was supposed to play Saint Mary this week, but that game has been postponed. The Spires have has all their games postponed so far.

William Penn of the Heart of America Athletic Conference beat MidAmerica Nazarene 30-13, lost to Central Methodist 14-12 and beat Missouri Valley 23-9.

The Coyotes are led by Isaiah Randalle with 594 passing yards and seven touchdowns. Quincy Sandoval has 174 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Stevie Williams has 241 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

Ben Sherman leads William Penn with 530 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Alex Crehan has 165 rushing yards and two touchdowns and 124 passing yards and two touchdowns. Adrian Aviles has 53 receiving yards and a touchdown.

The KCAC is 2-0 in non-conference games this season.
