Sahara haze spreads across High Plains harvest country

Unique in the world of windmills, this short version has stood for years on the Kiowa County prairie, bringing up water for cattle near Haviland. The sunset haze in the background on Saturday evening was due to dust in the air, not only from the usual last June 2020 wheat harvest activity but also from the Sahara desert dust cloud that has recently spread across the High Plains.
