Gallery seeking submissions

The Carriage Factory Gallery is seeking entries for two exhibitions, including the the third annual 12×12 Small Works art competition.

There are two competitions hosted by the Carriage Factory Gallery, 128 E. Sixth, currently seeking entries.

The first is the annual Holiday Showcase. The Carriage Factory Art Gallery will host the third annual 12×12 Small Works art competition. Entries will be accepted through Nov. 7.

All two-dimensional mediums are welcome. The people’s choice winner will receive $100.

The exhibit will be open Nov. 19 through Jan. 2. Works will be for sale, with a 70/30 spit between artist and gallery.

Entry fee is $12 per piece with a maximum of three entries.

The second contest is dedicated to Kansas Day. The 2021 Kansas Day Juried Exhibition “Kansas Through the Eyes of an Artist” entry deadline is Nov. 17.

Notification to artists of acceptance will be Dec. 8. The exhibition will be open from Jan. 23 through March 19.

Two- and/or three-dimensional original work that thematically represents Kansas will be accepted. Two-dimensional work should not exceed 36 inches by 36 inches. Work should be framed or gallery-wrapped. Three-dimensional work may not exceed 14 inches by 14 inches at the base and be suitable for pedestal display.

Artists may enter up to three artworks, the entry fee will be $30 per artist. High-definition digital file of original artwork, waiver, and entry form must be submitted to by Nov. 17. Artists will be notified through email by Dec. 8 if their work is accepted.

Prizes and awards will be given and announced on Jan. 23, 2021.
