Class 3A, District 7


Clearwater (4-0) @ Halstead (2-2)


Clearwater stayed unbeaten with a 56-7 win over Wichita Trinity Academy. Halstead dropped its second straight game, falling to Andale 42-12.


Halstead’s Lakin Farmer has 781 yards rushing with nine touchdowns. Cameron Kohr has 156 yards rushing with two touchdowns and 53 yards passing.


Hesston (3-1) @ Andale (4-0)


Hesston was topped by Wichita Collegiate 31-10 last week, while Andale, the defending Class 3A state champions, rolled past Halstead 42-12.


Hesston’s Ryan Eilert has 897 yards passing with five touchdowns and 110 yards rushing with five touchdowns. Nick Arnold has 201 yards rushing and 112 yards receiving. Ben Bollinger has 380 yards receiving and two touchdowns.


Heart of America League


Sedgwick (4-0) @ Ell-Saline (2-2)


Both teams are taking a break from district play this week.


Sedgwick rolled past Stanton County 63-0 last week, while Ell-Saline fell to Plainville 33-0. Sedgwick has allowed just seven points this season, while scoring 143. Had Sedgwick not gotten a forfeit win over Wichita Independent, the offensive numbers would be much higher.


Ell-Saline is led by T.J. Morrical with 450 rushing yards and two touchdowns and 109 passing yards with two touchdowns.


Class 1A, District 4


Stanton County (0-4) @ Remington (1-3)


Remington fell to Christ Prep of Lenexa 56-7 last week, while Stanton County fell to Sedgwick 63-0. Remington played Christ Prep as a replacement for Sublette, which had to cancel because of COVID-19 cases.


Eight-Man I, District 5


Moundridge (2-2) @ Goessel (1-3)


This one has become a bit of a rivalry game since Moundridge entered the eight-man ranks. Moundridge opened district play with a 42-34 win over Medicine Lodge, while Goessel fell to Attica-Argonia 42-14.


Goessel’s Grant Bryant has 249 yards passing with four touchdowns and 131 yards rushing with four touchdowns. Jake Wiens has 146 yards rushing with a touchdown. Nate Zogleman has 178 yards receiving and four touchdowns.


For Moundridge, Brayden Conquest has 173 yards rushing. Corbin Unruh has 276 yards passing with five touchdowns and 120 yards rushing with five touchdowns. Jon Schlosser has 165 yards receiving with two touchdowns.


Eight-Man II, District 6


South Barber (2-2) @ Peabody-Burns (2-2)


South Barber is 2-1 in district play, while Peabody-Burns is 1-1. South Barber topped Stafford 62-42 last week, while Peabody-Burns downed Tescott 54-6.


South Barber junior Gatlin Jewell has 679 yards rushing with 12 touchdowns and 440 yards passing with four touchdowns. Emilio Perez has 494 yards rushing with eight touchdowns and 121 yards receiving with two touchdowns. Caden Rathgeber has 211 yards receiving with two touchdowns.


Six-Man


Burrton (1-2) @ Deerfield (0-4)


(5 p.m.)


The Burrton Chargers will look to get back to the .500 mark, taking on the Deerfield Spartans in a 5 p.m. start. Deerfield is about 205 miles away from Burrton on U.S. 50, just west of Garden City.


Burrton had an off week last week when the Chargers’ game against Heart of the Plains rival Cunningham had to be canceled because of the COVID-19 outbreak.


Deerfield is 0-4, falling to Rolla 62-6 last week on the road.
