HAMBURG, N.Y. — Newton High School graduate Aydan Rolph has transferred to Hilbert College in Hamburg.

Rolph, a 2017 Newton grad, pitched for two seasons at Central Christian College in McPherson, where he was 0-1 with one save. In 31 games (39.2 innings pitched), Rolph allowed 37 hits with 23 walks and 20 strikeouts. He held a 7.03 earned-run average.

He sat out the 2020 season.

Hilbert is an NCAA Division III school and a member of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. The Hawks finished the shortened 2020 season 6-5 and hadn’t opened conference play when the season ended.

Rolph intends to major in English.
