MOUNDRIDGE — The Moundridge Wildcats and Sedgwick Cardinals traded a pair of games Monday in Heart of America League play in Moundridge.

Sedgwick won the first game 9-2 while Moundridge won the second game 10-6. The games were set to be played April 21, but were postponed because of rain.

In the first game, Moundridge led 2-1 after three innings, but Sedgwick came back with two runs in the fourth inning, four in the fifth and two runs in the seventh.

Avery Blank pitched a complete game for Sedgwick, allowing three hits with 10 strikeouts. Jadah Moore took the loss for Moundridge, allowing four hits with six strikeouts.

Hanna Christie had two hits and drove in four runs for Sedgwick. Blank drove in two runs.

In the second game, Moundridge scratched a pair of runs across in the first inning and three more in the second. Most of those runs came with two outs. The Wildcats added four runs in the fourth inning and a run in the sixth.

Sedgwick came back with three runs in the fifth, two runs in the sixth and a run in the seventh.

Zaelynn Foth had three hits for Moundridge. Chelsey Knight drove in three runs. Zizi Sebrant had two hits.

Kylie Charles and Macie McGinn each drove in two runs for Sedgwick.

Sebrant went the distance for Moundridge, striking out 11. Blank took the loss for Sedgwick, striking out five in four innings. Ashton McGinn struck out two in two innings.

Sedgwick is 11-5, 9-5 in HOAL play. Sedgwick plays at 3 p.m. today at Remington. Moundridge is 12-5-1, 9-4-1 in league play. Moundridge ends the regular season at 4:30 p.m. today at Sterling.
