LINDSBORG — The Hesston High School girls’ tennis team won the Central Kansas League Championships Saturday in Lindsborg.

The Swathers won all four flights and ended the tournament with 90 points, followed by Smoky Valley with 75, Larned with 66, Hoisington with 46, Kingman with 42, Pratt with 40, Hillsboro with 32, Lyons with 28, Nickerson with 19 and Haven with 12.

At first singles, Morgan Holopirek finished 3-0, downing Caroline Roth of Hillsboro in the finals 6-1, 6-0. Holopirek dropped just four games in six sets of play.

At second singles, Hallie Krehbiel finished 3-0, stopping Kristin Anderson of Larned 6-0, 6-1 in the finals. Krehbiel lost just three games in six sets.

At first doubles, the team of Olivia Brubacher and Kylie Martin finished 3-0, downing Smoky Valley in the finals 7-6 (7-5), 6-2.

At second doubles, the team of Makaiya Russell and Ashley Hubbard finished 3-0, stopping Smoky Valley 6-4, 6-3 in the finals.

Hesston hosts a Class 3-2-1A regional Friday and Saturday with the top six singles and doubles entries advancing to state Oct. 14 and 15 at the Riverside Tennis Complex in Wichita.
