MANHATTAN — More than 120 students attending Kansas State University online through the Global Campus received scholarships this fall semester. The scholarships ranged from $600 to $1,500 each and totaled more than $77,000.
Two new scholarships available this semester were the America's Farmers Grow Communities Scholarship and the Nathan and Becky Smit Innovation Scholarship.
Global Campus works hard to offer scholarships to its students, who are predominately adults attending classes part-time while balancing work and family responsibilities. The scholarships are available to both part-time and full-time students to provide more individuals the opportunity to earn a degree at their own pace.
Among those K-State Global Campus students receiving fall 2019 scholarships was Newton's Chris Maxwell, senior in general business, who received a Global Campus Dean's Merit Scholarship for Distance Education Students.
