Harvey County Caregiver Support Group to meet
“Being a Supportive Caregiver When Our Loved One No Longer Lives With Us” is the topic for the next meeting of Prairie View’s Harvey County Caregiver Support Group. Debra Voth, a licensed specialist clinical social worker, facilitates the caregiver group.
The group will meet from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 8, in Prairie View’s Osage Room, 1901 E. First St., Newton.
The group is open to caregivers for older adults and older adults who are caregivers. It offers education, mutual support and problem solving with others who are dealing with similar situations. This includes caregivers whose care receiver has any illness, including dementia. Admission is free and open to the public.
For more information about this group or any caregiving needs, including free caregiver resources, phone 316-284-6400 or 800-992-6292.
