WICHITA — The G2 Heat 14U-Lange team finished 2-3 during the weekend in a tournament at the Two Rivers Youth Complex in Wichita.

The Heat downed the Kansas Bluesox 5-4 and the G2 Heat Skocny team 19-10. The Heat fell to the Renegades 8-2, High Octane 8-0 and the Storm 11-2.

Against the Bluesox, Carly Wilhelm and Gabby Dalbom each drove in a run.

Dalbom pitched a complete-game win, striking out five.

Against the Heat-Skocny, Wilhelm drove in four runs. Allyson Lange and Chana Wolf each drove in two runs. Emily Wedel was four for four hitting with an RBI. Lange and Rylee Schaffer each had two hits.

Mueller struck out two in 1.2 innings. Dalbom finished the game for the win, striking out one.

Against the Renegades, Wolf and Wilhelm each drove in a run. Dalbom took the loss. Lange struck out two in three innings.

Against High Octane, Dalbom took the loss. Wilhelm also pitched. The Heat was held to two hits.

Against the Storm, Lange had two hits. Schaffer drove in a run. Dalbom took the loss, striking out two batters. Mueller also pitched.

The Heat is 17-23.

G2 Heat 18U

EMPORIA — The G2 Heat 18U-Llamas team finished play 2-2 in a tournament at the Trussler Sports Complex in Emporia.

The Heat fell to the Abilene Aftershock 18U 8-4, beat the Blues Association-Blue 18U 12-1, beat the Aftershock 3-1 and fell to Clay Center B 7-4.

In the first game against the Aftershock, Abilene scored eight runs in the second inning to break the game open.

Adi Jones had three hits and three RBIs for the Heat. Kylie Terbovich and Shelby Kemp each had two hits.

Alex Llamas took the loss, striking out two in 1.1 innings. Maizy Robins finished the game with three strikeouts.

Against the Blues Association, Robins pitched a complete-game, three hitter, striking out four.

Ashley Arellano was two for two with two RBIs. Robins also drove in two runs.

In the second game against the Aftershock, Llamas drove in two runs. Adi Jones drove in one run. Ashlon Stanford had two hits.

Robins struck out three for the win.

Against Clay Center, Terbovich, Arellano and Amber Haskins each had two hits. Llamas drove in three runs, while Liz Lumberas drove in a run.

Robins took the loss in 2.2 innings with a strikeout. Llamas also struck out one.

The Heat is 3-12-1 and plays in a tournament Thursday in Topeka.

Panthers finish

The Newton Panthers 12U baseball team finished a weekend tournament 0-3.

The Panthers fell to the Wichita Rattlers 11-1, Pratt Athletic 14-3 and Cunningham 13-4.

The Panthers are 7-13.
