Spring is here and along with it comes the crack of the bat and the roar of the crowd. That's right, baseball is back and one of the first opportunities to catch a game in person will be happening in Centennial Park on Friday. Here are three highlights:

1) Railer rivalry

It will be youth versus experience as members of the Newton High School Railers baseball team challenge a team made up of the school's alumni in Friday's pre-season exhibition game at Klein-Scott Field.

2) Feeding frenzy

Food trucks will be serving up dinner options from 5 to 8 p.m. near Klein-Scott Field in Centennial Park. Wright's Food Truck will have a variety of cheeseburgers, pulled pork sandwiches and BBQ nachos. Tacos Ana’s will offer tacos, burritos, tortas and more.

3) Klein-Scott clean up

The evening will include the inauguration of the new press box, restroom facilities and grandstands that have been added to Klein-Scott Field. Construction on the structures was completed last year.
