Smith Center (9-1) at Sedgwick (8-1)
After a first round bye, Sedgwick moved into the semifinals with a 20-2 win over Meade last week.
Sedgwick led 6-0 at the half and 13-2 after three quarters.
It was Sedgwick’s first playoff win since 2013.
Smith Center rolled over Salina Sacred Heart 55-7 last week. The Redmen led 55-0 at the half to start the running clock.
These two teams last met in 2015 in the first round of the Class 2-1A playoffs. Smith Center won 48-21.
Hunter Schroeder passed for 162 yards last week on nine of 16 attempts with two touchdowns. Hunter Schroeder added 75 yards rushing and a score. Colton Smith had 101 yards rushing. Kale Schroeder caught five passes for 138 yards receiving and a touchdown. Mason Lacey added a touchdown reception.
For the season, Hunter Schroeder has 2,035 yards passing with 21 touchdowns and three interceptions. he also has 67 carries for 532 yards and 15 touchdowns. Smith has 113 carries for 902 yards and seven touchdowns. Kale Schroeder has 28 catches for 768 yards and four touchdowns. Lacey has 25 catches for 476 yards and six touchdowns. Cauy Root has 27 catches for 333 yards and six touchdowns. Root didn’t play last week.
Ethan Peterson leads Smith Center with 936 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns. Colby Benoit has 880 yards rushing and 19 touchdowns. Trenton Colby has hit 13 of 23 passes for 265 yards with four touchdowns and an interception. Griffin Kugler has five catches for 147 yards and three touchdowns.
The winner faces either Elkhart (9-0) or Plainville (8-2).

Topeka (9-1) at Derby (10-0)
Derby remained unbeaten after a 54-7 win over Dodge City last week, while Topeka downed Washburn Rural 56-21.
Hunter Igo hit eight of 11 passes for 190 yards and three touchdowns last week, while rushing for 91 yards and two touchdowns. Earnest Wash rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns. Davin Simms had 105 yards receiving and a touchdown.
The winner faces the winner of Lawrence Free State (10-0) and Manhattan (9-1).
Great Bend (8-2) at Maize (9-1)
Maize got back its early season mojo, beating rival Maize South 35-0 last week, the fifth shutout this season for the Eagles.
Great Bend advanced with a 31-7 win over Kapaun-Mt. Carmel.
Caleb Grill leads Maize with 2,328 yards passing and 27 touchdowns. Caden Cox has 889 yards rushing with 13 touchdowns. Preven Christon has 626 yards receiving with seven touchdowns.
Great Bend is led by Koy Brack, who has 1,891 yards passing with 20 touchdowns. Gage Fritz has 1,108 yards rushing with eight touchdowns. Alex Schremmer has 1,015 yards receiving with 13 touchdowns.
The winner faces Wichita Northwest (10-0) or Bishop Carroll (8-2) in the semifinals.
