BETHANY, Okla. — The Bethel College men’s soccer team gave up a pair of goals in a two-minute span leading to a 4-1 loss to Southwestern Christian Friday in Bethany.


Southwestern Christian scored in the ninth minute on a goal by Alexander Koziolek with assists from Damnjan Kojoc and Cem Bektas.

Bethel tied the game in the 47th minute on a goal by Chris Torres, but Bektas replied for SCU less than five minutes later with an assist from Igor Stojanovic.

Bektas scored in the 77th minute with an assist from Alexandre De Silva. Stojanovic added an unassisted goal in the 79th minute.

Bethel was outscored 18-7, 8-4 on goal. Dev Bharma had three saves for SCU, 6-1. Kobi Russom had four saves for Bethel, 0-5.

Bethel opens KCAC play at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at home against Saint Mary.
