Gayla Neufeld, Volunteer for Book Reviews, recently presented a check to Ben Kreider and Laurel Woodward-Breckbill, both from Offender Victim Ministries.
Kreider is the Director of Prison Ministries and Woodward-Brackbill is the Executive Director.
The funds will be used for special projects for a prison ministry Offender Victim Ministries.
Book Reviews is a nonprofit used bookstore located at 707 N. Main in downtown Newton. All proceeds from the store are donated to charities in Harvey County.
Offender Victim Ministries is offering a free training for new and current volunteers to learn more about Neighborhood Accountability Boards in Harvey and McPherson counties. The training will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Harvey County Courthouse Community Room (lower level), 800 N. Main, Newton. Lunch included.
