Barbara Mulvihill will present “Genetic Genealogy” at 7 p.m. on August 21 at Newton Public Library, 720 N. Oak.
Mulvihill is an information services librarian with the Salina Public Library. She has more than 30 years of genealogy experience and has traveled to four states to research the story of her great-great-grandparents’ lives in Civil War-era east Texas and beyond.
Her presentation will cover DNA testing for genealogy. Tests done by the three largest companies will be compared and contrasted. The basics of understanding and interpreting results will also be covered.
All are welcome to attend this free presentation.
