The Bethel College men’s and women’s tennis teams both fell to Southwestern 9-0 Wednesday at the Marty Ward Tennis Center.

The Threshers formally dedicated its new tennis building at the Ward Tennis Center, which contains restrooms, a concession stand, offices, a storage area and a lounge/meeting room area. The new building also contains a pair of covered concourse areas.

The Bethel women fall to 10-2, 3-1 in conference play. The loss snapped a 10-dual meet winning streak. Southwestern improves to 12-1, 3-0 in KCAC play. The win was Southwestern women’s eighth straight. The Moundbuilders have received votes in the NAIA national poll.

The Southwestern men are 7-6, 1-2 in KCAC play. The Bethel men are 8-3, 2-2 in KCAC play.

Bethel plays at 4 p.m. today at Bethany. The match has been moved forward two days because of anticipated bad weather.
