Ties and tiaras twirled together around the Chisholm Middle School gym Friday night at the Father-Daughter Dance.
Fathers and father figures sat next to their daughters at dinner and later escorted them to the dance floor.
As a DJ played music — one of the most popular selections of the evening seemed to be Walk the Moon's "Shut Up and Dance" — girls embraced their dads, sisters and friends.
Toddlers rested their heads on their father's shoulders, young girls jumped and spun around in circles, and teenagers —some nearly as tall as their dads — swayed to the music.
The year marks the second year the Father-Daughter Dance has been held.
