The show is getting close!

The theme of this year’s Harvey County Home and Garden Show 2018 is “Gardening with Native Prairie Plants and Grasses”. Mark your calendar for March 10 and 11 at the Armory in Newton! This is the 14th year of the show planned and presented to you by K-State Research and Extension-Harvey County.

Get your green thumb ready for spring fever! Home and garden educational seminars will be presented each hour of the show. We have many topics in lawn and garden education to choose and learn from. Topics include: landscaping, prairie plants, Buffalo grass lawns, growing fruit, spiders, gardens, and more. The Harvey County Farmers Market will be open as well as home and garden vendors.

An art show and kids event will be conducted both days of the show. This year Kids are invited to “Sketch and imprint prairie plants” activity each day at 2 p.m.

Mi Mama’s Recipe’s will have concessions. There will be great door prizes too! One dollar is the admission fee for those 13 and older. 12 and under are free!

Home and garden vendors are wanted! Contact us by emailing or or call (316) 284-6930 for an application.
