Keak is a freshman from Lincoln, Neb. He has several top-four finishes this season. He has the NJCAA Region VI meet upcoming.

"I've had a very good season," Keak said. "We did well as a team. At (Region VI), I'm the team can qualify for nationals and I can qualify as an individual."

"We actually have a few girls out with injuries right now," Bethel coach Ryan Bourque said. "We also had some girls step up and filled their shoes today. We have five guys. We had one out today. Laird ran his best time. That was his best time by 30 seconds."

Hesston's top finisher was Civia Hernandez in 33rd in 23.32.92.

Bethel travels to Winfield next week for the NAIA Mid-States Championships, followed by the KCAC Championships in Sterling.

"When we get everybody healthy, we're going to be pretty competitive," xxxx said. "Right now, we're just banged up. We had one today that couldn't finish. We just need to get everyone back and healthy."
