GOESSEL — Marietta K. Voth, 88, passed away on January 6, 2013, at the Bethesda Home, Goessel.
She was born on January 15, 1924, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Cornelius C. and Marie Krause Friesen. She taught piano for 30 years and played the organ for many weddings. She was a member of the Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, Goessel, the Garden Club, and was a horticulturist.
On May 10, 1957, she married Otto Voth at Hillsboro. He passed away on November 11, 2005.
She is survived by her children, Larry Voth of Goessel, Jane Voth and fiancée, Tom Lietz of Wichita, Don (Shawn) Voth of Marion, Nelson (Clarice) Voth of Newton; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Orlando and Albert; and two sisters, Wilma Kliewer and Rosella Friesen.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Miller-Ott Funeral Home, Goessel.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013, at the Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Cemetery, with a memorial service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013, at the Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, with Pastor Linda Ewert and Pastor Steve Schmidt officiating.
Memorials may be made to either Bethesda Home or to the Good Shepherd Hospice, in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, Goessel.
