Kathleen Stiffler Listrom, age 87, of Hot Springs went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012.
She was born on Jan. 19, 1925, in Emporia to the late Roy and Mary Cannon. In July of 1944, she married Darrell W. Stiffler, who predeceased her in 1986.
Kathleen was loved by everyone who knew her. She spread joy and encouragement wherever she went. Her favorite activities included dancing, playing bridge and fishing with her sweetheart, Myron. She was happiest when surrounded by family and enjoying her precious grandchildren.
Kathleen retired in 1991 from the supreme court of Oklahoma, where she worked as executive secretary to the Supreme Court justices.
She is survived by her husband, Myron L. Listrom; daughter, Janet Stiffler Wilcox; two sons, Eric J. Stiffler (Marilyn) and Daniel L. Stiffler (Kim); one step-daughter, Linda L. Listrom and one step-son, Randy K. Listrom; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews; and a host of wonderful friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia, with Pastor Bob Colerick officiating.
