• The Youth of First Baptist Church will meet at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church for the “hanging of the green” (decorating the sanctuary for the Christmas season.)


• First Presbyterian Church will have Sunday school classes for all ages from 9:15 to 10:10 a.m. Sunday at the church. Fellowship time will be from 10:10 to 10:30 a.m. in the narthex.

Worship service will be at 10:30 a.m. with sermon by Pastor Jim Anderson. Church youth are in charge of all parts of the service.

• First Presbyterian Church middle and senior high youth will meet together from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.

• Early risers gather at the First Baptist Church at 8:30 a.m. each Sunday to join in prayer before the regular worship service. The First Baptist Church Sunday school will be at 9:30 a.m. followed by worship service at 10:45 a.m. During the worship service, the first candle of the Advent wreath will be lit by the family of Jeff Nattier. This first candle is traditionally the candle of expectation of the coming of the Messiah. Communion also will be observed during the worship service.


• First Presbyterian Church youth will meet at 7 a.m. Tuesday at Druber’s for doughnuts and fellowship.


• First Presbyterian Church “Bible at Breakfast” will meet at 8 a.m. Wednesday at C.J.'s Pancake House for breakfast and Bible study. It is open to all.

• Kids are busy and have fun at the First Baptist Church on Wednesdays. Beginning at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday a kid-friendly meal is offered for a small donation. All ages, including adults, are welcome to enjoy this meal.

KIDS ON THE TRAIN will meet at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church. All children ages kindergarten through fifth grade are invited.

The Youth Group will meet at 6 p.m. with Youth Director Chris Bodecker. Middle school and high school students are welcome.

• The Bible study for adults at First Baptist Church will meet at 6 p.m Wednesday. The study will be led by Pastor Terry Tareila and is open to all interested persons.


• Walton United Methodist Church Women will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church for a Christmas luncheon. There will be a World Thank Offering program and Christmas memories sharing time.

• First Presbyterian Church bell choir rehearsal will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Men’s choral ensemble rehearsal will be at 6:15 p.m. Chancel choir will practice at 7 p.m.

• First Presbyterian Church Women’s Coordinating Team will meet at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at the church.

• Doors open for First Presbyterian Church’s Holiday Affaire luncheon at 11:15 a.m. Dec. 6 with individually decorated tables and style show by Katherines. The event is sold out.
