• First Presbyterian Church Sunday school classes for all ages will be from 9:15 to 10 a.m. Sunday. Church fellowship time will be from 10:10 to 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the narthex.

Worship service will be at 10:30 a.m. The youth will return from the lock-in “In the Wilderness” at 11:30 a.m.

• St. Luke Presbyterian Church asks people to join them Sunday as Pastor Paul Wissink continues his series with “The Ambitious Seed” from Matthew 13:31-32.

Worship service is at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke Church, 808 E. Sixth St., Newton. They offer Sunday school classes for all ages, which starts at 9:15 a.m. Child care is available during the service and during Sunday school. They also offer children’s church during the service.

• St. Matthew’s Episcopal church will celebrate All Saints’ Sunday this Sunday with Sunday school for all ages at 9 a.m. and Holy Communion at 10:15 a.m.

• Walton United Methodist Church will have a World Thank offering program at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of Joyce DuFriend, 1009 E. Broadway, Newton. The hostess will be DuFriend.

• St. Mary’s Altar Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the St. Mary School cafeteria, 101 E. Ninth St., Newton to make plans for the bazaar and turkey dinner event to be Nov. 9. Hostesses will be Orva Hargett and Terri Bockhaus.
