• No, kids under 17 should not be allowed into an R-rated movie without being accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The Motion Picture Association of America came up with the G, PG, R ratings for this purpose. All they have to simply do is ID those who are in doubt and not sell them a ticket.

• There is a sign on the corner of First and Columbus that reads “You are what you worship.” This, I believe. How about Obama? Now anyone throwing bricks at McCain and Palin –– have you raised three or four girls or been faced with a mentally challenged child and, if so, would you readily admit it? You would if you were going into politics because the opponents sure would investigate you. I’m proud to be a Republican. I am proud of my country, our Savior, our flag, and proud of our current president and our soon-to-be president and vice president John McCain and Sarah Palin. Newton, wake up and smell the roses, and watch out for those bricks. They may come back to haunt you.

• When the gas prices comes down, will the food prices and all the delivery charges come down?
