HESSTON — The Hesston High School girls’ basketball team got staggered in the third quarter, but got off the canvas, answered the bell and downed Nickerson 58-39 Friday to finish 3-0 at the Hesston Winter Classic. Hesston was outscored 18-9 in the third quarter to get the Panthers within nine, but Hesston opened the fourth quarter with a run to put the game away.
