The Goessel Task Force will host a Christmas Mart fund-raiser from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 5 at Wheat Hall, 300 N. Poplar St. in Goessel, with event proceeds going toward building a planned children’s water park in the city.
The water park is in the planning stages and would include sprinklers and fountains for the city’s youth to play in to cool off during the summer months. A location and opening date for the park have not been set.
Booths and sections are available to be reserved by the public for the indoor sale, touted by task force contact Tony Epp as a crafts fair and flea market. The event is open to anyone who would like to attend or sell their items.
