Joanne Entz of Wichita and Luke Haidle of Abbotsford, B.C., Canada, were married during a 3 p.m. ceremony on March 15, 2008, at Grace Hill Mennonite Church in rural Whitewater.
Dr. Stan Haidle, father of the groom, officiated the double-ring ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Reynold and Deanna Entz of Newton. The groom is the son of Stan and Ruth Haidle of Mitchell, S.D.Grandparents of the bride are Dorothy Schmidt of North Newton and the late Reinhold Schmidt, and the late Albert and Frieda Entz of Elbing. Grandparents of the groom are Ellen Keith of Smithville, Ohio, and the late Willard Keith, and Bertha Haidle of Eureka, S.D., and the late Walter Haidle.Maid of honor was Deborah Kroeker of Wichita. Bridesmaids were Sara Fast of Fresno, Calif., Hannah Kroeker of Clearwater and Dusttie Hardt of Litchfield, Ill.Best man was Alberto Jaramillo of Vancouver, B.C. Groomsmen were John Best of Abbotsford, B.C., Nate Leemkuil of Sterling, Va., and Andrew Regier of Lenexa.The flower girl and ring bearer were Afrika and Khalil Kamau-King, students of the bride.Musicians were Jason and Renae Peters of Hesston, and flutist was Jennifer Bartel of Hillsboro.Guest book attendants were Mariam and Aisha Entz of Winnipeg, MB. Ushers were Russell and June Entz of rural Whitewater, Jeremy and Stephanie Entz of rural Newton, and Sharon Entz of Red Wing, Minn.The couple took a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. They continued their trip to Guadalajara, Mexico, and Panama City to visit friends and TREK teams.The bride is a graduate of Berean Academy and Tabor College. She will continue on as an elementary school teacher.The groom is a graduate of James Valley High School in Mitchell, S.D., and Tabor College. He recently received his master of arts degree in Christian studies from ACTS Seminaries and will continue on as the TREK coordinator for Mennonite Brethren Missions and Services International in Abbotsford, B.C.They have made their home in Abbotsford, B.C., Canada.
