Jasmine Dorey Titus and Ian Zachary Schmidt, both of Shawnee, were married during a 6 p.m. June 26, 2009, ceremony at Lake Wabaunsee in Eskridge at the bride’s parents’ lakeside home.
Jarod Waltner officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Robb and Mary Beth Titus of Lawrence, formerly of Newton. The groom is the son of John and Kay Schmidt of Walton.
Bride’s attendants were her siblings Starla Titus of Overland Park, Season Titus Lentz of Dallas and Spencer Titus of Lawrence.
The groom’s attendants were friend of the groom Jarod Waltner of Topeka, and his siblings, Alison M.S. Flores of Kansas City, Kan., and Graham Schmidt of Walton.
The groom is the grandson of Arlene Balzer of North Newton. The bride is the granddaughter of Gene and Trudy Titus of Newton, John and Carm Ford of Buffalo, N.Y., and Ed and Betty Taylor of Buffalo.
The couple is planning a wedding trip to Peru in November 2010, and they have made their home in Shawnee.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Newton High School and a 2005 graduate of The University of Kansas. She is operations administrator at Thomasville Furniture.
The groom is a 2000 Newton High School graduate and a 2004 Bethel College graduate. He is a computer operator for the Department of the Treasury.
A wedding dinner at The Gem in Lake Wabaunsee followed the ceremony June 26.
A reception was Aug. 1 at Reba’s in Newton.
A rehearsal dinner was June 25 at Paisano’s Ristorante in Topeka.
