New question: What issue is most important to you in the presidential race?
• There are many important issues in the presidential race, but to me, the most important are campaign finance reform, and validating (at least) a third party. The way the system is set up now, by the time a candidate has a high enough profile and enough financial backing to be able to win a presidential campaign, he or she has already been too corrupted by lobbies and special interest groups to care about the things that are important to average Americans. We need a moderate party that can reduce the polarization between conservatives and liberals in our country, and improve our relations with the rest of the world. Until we learn to work together a little more, amongst ourselves and the other people on the planet, things are only going to get worse for everyone. No Republican or Democrat in recent times has done much but prey upon our fears and prejudices, driving Americans further away from each other. I'm tired of being forced to vote for the lesser of two essentially identical evils.
• I think the most important thing in the presidential election is the economy. While I don’t think people are feeling it as bad here as on the coasts, but I want to feel comfortable that it’s going to be OK. I don’t want to pay any more for gas or for food. That’s what those politicians need to look at.
