Question: Do you support plans by the Newton USD 373 school district to join in a lawsuit to require the state to come up with more funding for education?
• I guess our School Board thinks they don't have enough Money — but they have enough to sue the state. And the state says it’s given all it can. The taxpayer is going to pay the bill either way.
• The school district needs to be part of this lawsuit. The courts required Kansas to fund education at a certain level — and that needs to happen. The future of education in Newton and other areas relies on this money. Let’s not nickel and dime our children. Support the lawsuit.
