Veterans rep to visit Newton

A veterans service representative for the Kansas Commission on Veterans’ Affairs will be in Newton from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Newton Area Senior Center at 122 E. Sixth Street. “The Kansas Commission on Veterans’ Affairs is a state agency that provides free assistance to veterans and their eligible family members with matters pertaining to veteran’s benefits,” Veterans Service Representative Terry A. McLaughlin said in a letter.

To set up an appointment with the commission, call (785) 823-2864.
