WICHITA — A Dustin Mohr grand slam in the fourth inning led the Wichita Wingnuts to an 8-3 American Association win over the Pensacola Pelicans Tuesday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
The grand slam put Wichita up 4-2. After another Pensacola run, the Wingnuts came back with four more runs, including another Mohr home run, a Kelly Hunt home run and a Greg Porter RBI hit.
Marcos Rodriguez led Pensacola with three hits in four at bats with two RBIs. Luis Guance went two for four with an RBI.
Wichita starter William Savage, 5-5, went seven innings for the win. Randy Beam, 6-6, took the loss for the Pelicans.
The two teams conclude their series at noon today.
