WICHITA —

The Newton Rebels game scheduled for Tuesday against the Wichita Sluggers in the Walter Johnson League Tournament at the West Urban Baseball Complex was postponed because of rain.

The game will be made up at 1:15 p.m. today.

The Rebels’ opener in the National Baseball Congress World Series will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium against the winner of Friday’s Colorado Sox-Hap Dumont U18 World Series champion game.

If Newton loses Saturday, the Rebels play at 12:30 a.m. Monday.
